Sofra means the table everyone gathers around — and it takes a family to set it. With our original home in Woodley Park and the newly opened Sofra on 14th, we're growing, and we hire year-round across the kitchen, the dining room, and the bar.
Experience with Greek and Turkish cuisine is welcome but never required. What we look for is care: for the ingredient, for the guest, and for the people you work beside.
Server
Take care of guests at their table. Help them choose food and drinks, answer questions about the menu, and make sure they have a great meal.
Food Runner / Busser
Bring food from the kitchen to the tables while it is fresh and hot. Clear and reset tables, and help keep service moving.
Server

Make drinks and take care of guests at the bar. Keep the bar clean and stocked, and help guests feel welcome.
Host
Welcome guests at the front door, manage reservations, and walk guests to their table. You are the first person our guests meet.
Line Cook
Cook dishes on the line during service. Keep your station clean and organized, and work as part of the kitchen team.
Prep Cook
Prepare ingredients before and during service. Chop, portion, and organize so the kitchen is ready for a busy night.
Dishwasher
Wash dishes, pots, and tools, and help keep the kitchen clean. No experience needed. We will show you everything.
